JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a passionate and creative visual designer to join our dynamic team. As a visual designer, you will be responsible for creating and shaping the visual identity of our events, working closely with technical and creative teams to produce immersive visual experiences that captivate audiences. You will play a key role in defining the aesthetic of each project while ensuring consistency and exceptional quality throughout the production process.

RESPONSABILITIES
  • Design and develop visual elements for events, including projections, lighting, set designs, and graphic animations.
  • Collaborate with technical and creative directors to integrate the artistic vision within technical and logistical constraints.
  • Produce mockups, 3D renderings, and detailed plans for each visual aspect of the event.
  • Ensure seamless coordination with technical teams for the installation and adaptation of visual elements based on venue specifications and constraints.
  • Maintain consistency and high quality of visual elements throughout the entire production process, from pre-production to post-production.
PRINCIPAL TASKS

• Develop visual concepts based on the event’s theme.

• Create sketches, mockups, and visual renderings for approval.

• Adapt visual designs to technical constraints and venue requirements.

• Draft technical documents detailing visual elements and their implementation.

• Ensure the preparation of necessary materials and software for production.

• Supervise the on-site installation of visual elements.

• Maintain the quality and integrity of visual concepts during rehearsals and production.

• Troubleshoot technical or creative issues on-site.

• Evaluate visual elements after each event to improve future concepts.

QUALITIES REQUIRED
  • In-depth technical knowledge: sound, lighting, machinery, video, etc.
  • Ability to manage teams and make quick decisions.
  • Manage the unexpected and adapt to different environments.
  • Collaborate effectively with a variety of people (artists, technicians, venue managers).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Vectorworks and Asana (an asset)
  • Fluency in English and French
